Subway Hell.

Anyone planning to take the Q train today should avoid it like the plague.

This weekend, next weekend, and the weekend after that the Q train is only running between Prospect Park and Coney Island. No Manhattan service whatsoever.

The trip from Rockefeller Center to Midwood, Brooklyn took me two and a half hours. TWO AND A HALF HOURS. I could have driven from Philadelphia in that time.

blarg. Is there a shuttle to Atlantic or something? or are we just shit out of luck?
There is a theoretical shuttle to Atlantic, although the MTA folks seemed pretty confused by it. I took the N train from Manhattan to Atlantic, where the conductor announced that we were to walk to the Q platform and transfer there. Once I got near the Q platform, there were MTA employees standing there, telling us to turn around and walk back the other way to the shuttle buses. Major confusion.
