1986 video of 42nd Street Station

NYC Subways in 1986. and they were considerably more cleaner than I remember from the 1970s. And I never knew there was a "K" train line.

I was gonna ask whether '86 was then they started running the R42 cars, but they'd apparently been running for at least a decade before that. I think what I was remembering was when they introduced the R68 cars on the BMT lines around that time instead.

I'm in and out of this station all the time due to shuttling back and forth into and out of the city via bus, so I jump on the train home here. I'm a little boggled by how much it's changed in 25 years.
Hah, I was just coming here to post this. Beat me to it!

The K was an 8th avenue line, it used to be the AA before they got rid of the double-lettered line names in the 80s. It later got absorbed into the C.
